This website is run by Emrah Alpat, trading as Modernist Mixing, based in Istanbul, Turkey. I am the data controller for the information described here. This page explains what the site collects, why, and what you can ask me to do with it.
The only information I collect is what you choose to send through the contact form: your name, email address, message, and optionally your project type, release timeline and links to your songs or references. The form is not connected to a mailing list and I don't add you to one.
I use it to read your inquiry, reply to you, and discuss or deliver work if we go ahead. I don't sell your information and I don't use it for advertising. I process it because you asked me to get in touch about a project, which is necessary to take steps before entering into an agreement, and because I have a legitimate interest in answering inquiries.
This site does not set cookies on visitors and does not use advertising or analytics trackers, so there is no cookie banner. The only cookie is a login cookie used by me to access the site's admin area.
Your form submission is sent to my inbox using Resend, an email delivery service. The site is hosted on Vercel, and site content is stored with Neon (database) and Vercel Blob (file storage). These providers process data on my behalf and may keep standard technical logs, such as IP addresses, to run and secure their services.
Because these providers operate internationally, your information may be processed outside Turkey and outside your own country. By sending the form you understand your inquiry will be handled this way.
Video thumbnails on the site are loaded from YouTube, so YouTube receives your IP address when they load. Links to YouTube, Instagram, TikTok and Spotify lead to their sites, which have their own privacy policies.
Inquiry emails stay in my inbox for as long as needed to handle your request and keep a record of the work we do together. If nothing comes of an inquiry, I delete it within a reasonable time.
You can ask me at any time to tell you what I hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Under Turkey's Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK, Law No. 6698, Article 11) you also have the right to learn whether your data is processed, to request information about how it is used, to object to results against you, and to claim compensation for unlawful processing. If you are in the EU or UK, the GDPR or UK GDPR gives you similar rights, including the right to complain to your local data protection authority. In Turkey, that is the Personal Data Protection Authority (KVKK).
